Itinerary:
If You are a flatwater paddler and have never been to Tugalo...You Gotta Check it Out!!!

You MUST bring your own boat (hardshell kayak or canoe, no inflatables), paddle, Coast Guard approved PFD to participate in this event.

Location: Lake Tugalo, GA (not to be confused with Lake Tugaloo/Hartwell) is a Georgia Power lake and was formed by the damming of the Tallulah and Chattooga Rivers.  The 597 acre lake with 18 miles of shoreline is entirely undeveloped!  Two remote access points exist, one on the South Carolina shoreline the other on the Georgia side.  The lake has a 20 hp motor restriction making it a flatwater paddler's paradise.

Itinerary:
Leaving the carpool by8:00 am we will arrive at the lake between 10-11 (we will decide at the carpool if we can use the closer GA ramp accessed by a gravel road or the more distant but paved SC ramp).  Depending on which ramp we launch from we can decide to start by paddling up the Chattooga or Tallulah arms of the lake.  Both hold delightful highlights from the rapids of the Chattooga to the red brick powerhouse on the Tallulah.  If we're motivated and the winds are cooperative we may be able to cover the entire lake.  Along the way we'll stop at one of the handful of campsites to enjoy lunch.

Regardless of how much of the lake we're able to cover, we'll plan to be back to the carpool by 7 pm.

If your vehicle will carry more than 1 boat please bring necessary equipment to do so.

If you are interested in participating in this event but do not own or have access to a boat they can be rented from Go With The Flow in Roswell.
