Itinerary:
We'll take the gravel path of the running trail to the first left trail that accesses the back loop to the Chattahoochee Forest.  We'll hike the Cochran Shoals/Interstate North end of the unit the entire time travelling at a moderately fast pace. There are some good hills here, so we'll get a nice workout.

After hiking around 5 miles, we'll exit this area and cross the river to the Powers Island side. Since we'll be hiking through the parking lot, those folks who need to leave early can do so at this point.  For those doing the entire hike,  the Powers Island area offers a 2 mile loop with one good hill that we'll hike before returning to the cars.
