This trip is going to be very similar to the previous week's March 31'st 2012 Sand Rock Trip. Because that trip is so popular Marcus and I decided to host a second trip for people that aren't able to get in the first one. Anyone can sign up, but if this trip fills, and you were on the March 31st 2012 trip, we may ask you to go on the wait list in favor of someone that didn't make that trip.

Times above are Central Time, Meet at Event is 10:30 Atlanta Time! We will try to maximize the day and hope it's not too windy, a jacket for between climbs might make you more comfortable.This climb is planned for Sand Rock in Leesburg, AL, but it is Absolutely Weather Dependent.
Everyone will need to have their own shoes, harness, and belay device.You will need to know how to top-rope belay.If the trip leader has never climbed with you, you may be asked to do a short safety check.Sand Rock is a moderate-challenge climbing area. Although there may be one or two lower-level climbs to maximize your experience,I recommend that you be able to climb at a level that is approximately equivalent to Stone Summit 5.9 or Atlanta Rocks 5.8. Climbing will be top-rope style with ropes set for you.
I am looking for any additional Lead climbers with thier own rope. Your help setting routes would expand the size of the trip for everyone! Please contact me if this includes you! (and specify Sport or Trad, please).
