Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:
Rolling green hills, rainbows, hunting for (edible) gold, laughing with friends, cold frosty beverages... It's beginning to look a lot like St. Patty's Day!

Let's celebrate with a relaxing day in the mountains as guests of Sugarboo Farms, a brand new organic farm and special event facility located in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains.

Sugarboo is a great place to go for fun and relaxing, and we've been invited to explore
their 20 acres, which include trails adjacent to the Chattahoochee National Forest.

We will arrive at the farm around noon. After checking in & saying hello to our hosts, we are free to roam around for a few hours. Feel like hiking? Great, go for it! You can join your trip leaders on a morel mushroom hunt or you can go on your own hike. Just be sure to be back by 2:30, so you can enjoy a nice, fresh meal prepared by Rick, Kristin & crew at Sugarboo. Or, feel free to visit the organic gardens and barnyard where you can say hi to Shug the mini pig & friends! Or... maybe you just want to relax on their lovely balcony so you can take in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains & get to know our hosts. Great, go for it! Just don't get TOO relaxed... you need to make it home safely!

After exploring, we'll meet up at the main lodge, where we'll enjoy a grill out with some really great food & company. If we're lucky, we'll get to try some of Sugarboo's own home-made salsa verde & other fresh-canned, home-grown yumminess! Remember, you are welcome to bring your own frosty beverages (code for beer/wine) to enjoy with your meal.

Keep in mind-This is a bit of a different kind of event-The hikes will be exploratory (which means that they might range from extremely easy to extremely challenging), and lunch will be provided. I've only hiked the shortest of trails there, but I know there are a lot more.
