Itinerary:
Moderate to Strenuous Hike 12 miles

My hikes are more leisurely....with plenty of breaks for water and snacks....if you are fast hiker and wants to hike fast, or power hiker, this may not be the hike for you.

From Track rock gap archaeological site parking lot, well walk across the street to the trail head, first 2 miles is straight up 2,200 feet of elevation gain. from here some people had said its a roller coster ride, clearing 4 mountains rainging from 3,600 to 4,300 feet. Its quite a tough hike, but there is various terrains, from soft grounds, to rocky stone mountain and blood mountain like surface, wet mushy muddy area, and giant rock fomation like rock city, this trail is great for people who likes wild plants and flowers, when we get to Brasstown bald, well climb up to the observation deck to eat our lunches and spend 30-45 minutes, (they just recentlly finished building museums and film shows...) dont forget to bring dollar bills and small coins, since they have a bending machine for cokes, water and power ade. There is a coutry store like place where they sell country items and small snacks.

After the rest, well hike back down Brasstown bald to Arkaquah Trail and back to parking lot. Well be taking many water and snack breaks on the trail. After the hike well stop at Turners Corner Cafe for dinner. This is a whole day event, if you have other things you want to do this day, it will be very difficult. It will take 3.5 to 4 hours to Brasstown Bald, and 2.5 to 3 hours coming back.

Required Items to Bring:
Plenty of water (2 litters minimum, you can replenish at Brasstown Bald). Good Hiking shoes. Trekking pole, youll be so glad. RAIN GEAR you might not need one, but when the rain comes youll be so glad you have one. Backpack would be better than a small fanny pack. Try to wear a hat due to ticks and other insects on the trail. Please DO NOT forget your lunch and water.
