Itinerary:

*D1-Six-Pack-Hikes*
(Monday, 4/2 through Saturday, 4/7) are very suitable for Newbies and Beginners. Join one, join two, or join all six hikes. That's why they are called "Six-Pack" hikes.

We are going to hike approximately three to four miles at a moderate pace.  Not difficult. However, we'll get our heart rates up and we may even sweat a bit. All six hikes will be at different places in and around Atlanta.

Come and join me on the trails at Sope Creek - Unit of the Chattahoochee NRA. Sope Creek is named for a Cherokee Indian who lived along its banks. The Indians had been removed by law from the area in 1838, but somehow Old Chief Sope managed to remain.

The stone ruins along the creek are remnants of the Marietta Paper Mill which produced a large portion of the South's paper from 1855 to 1902. Union troops burned the original mills in 1864.
