Itinerary:

*D1-Six-Pack-Hikes* (Monday, 4/2 through Saturday, 4/7) are very suitable for Newbies and Beginners. Join one, join two, or join all six hikes. That's why they are called "Six-Pack" hikes.


We are going to hike approximately three to four miles at a moderate pace.  Not difficult. However, we'll get our heart rates up and we may even sweat a bit. All six hikes will be at different places in and around Atlanta.

Come join me on the trails at the Jones Bridge Unit of the Chattahoochee NRA. While not as well-known as some of the other branches of the Chattahoochee NRA, Jones Bridge has an excellent system of trails which can be combined to many miles hiking. Much of our hike will be along the river, but a good bit of it will be in the nearby woods. There will be a few hills you will need to climb but nothing with over a 150 foot elevation gain.

From GA 400, take exit 7a, and head East 4.1 miles through the intersection of Holcomb Bridge and Nesbitt Ferry Road to the junction of Barnwell Road. Turn left on Barnwell Rd, and travel approx. 2 miles to Jones Bridge Branch which will be on the right. Turn in and go a little over 1/2, you will see a parking lot at your right SKIP that one and continue...the road will end into another parking lot. This is where we will meet.

Notes:
Remember to bring three dollar parking fee, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual parking pass.
