Itinerary:
We will head out bright and early and to get up some stone walls in the wilderness. This climb is planned for Currahee Mountain in North Georgia, but is weather dependent. Currahee is a sunny wall in Mid afternoon so bring lots of water. There are some easier climbs so begginners can get good practice here, but climb at least a Stone Summit 7, please. There is a lot of slab area where brute force will not avail you, technical/balance climbers will find they climb a higher rating here.

This is primarily a top-rope style climbing trip.

Everyone will need to have their own shoes, harness and belay device. You will need to know how to belay. If the trip leader has never climbed with you before, you may be asked to do a short safety check.

A note on ropes (and anchor sets for them), if you have one and will let your AOC friends climb on it, please bring it! it will help the trip go more smoothly and help everyone climb more.

A note on leading, Currahee was bolted by complete idiots, there are several sections with 20ft run outs that could create 40-50ft falls. Bring yoru trad rack or set from the top.  (Thankfully, Setting from the top is super easy here with adaquate trails and anchors to reach the top of most climbs)

Turn right and proceed about three miles.
