Itinerary:

Do you want to hike at a particular area in or around Atlanta? On a certain day? Mornings? Afternoons? You got it.

Here is how it works:

* Email your preferred date(s) ... at least two options ... and time(s) to Lemmy.AOC@gmail.com
* Chose a category D1, D2, or D3.
* Name your favorite area / destination (within max 1 hour travel time from Atlanta). If you have no preference, I will choose a destination.

That's all. You will be my "Guest of Honor" on this hike.

Note: This is a D3 hike, meaning more "ups and downs", more scrambling, and going "the extra mile". Hiking poles are recommended.

Come join me on the trails at the Gold Branch Unit of the Chattahoochee NRA. The western part of the trail goes through rolling pine forest. The eastern part goes along the bank of Bull Sluice Lake, formed by the Chattahoochee River behind Morgan Falls Dam.

You may want to bring a head lamp / flashlight since we are hiking until approximately 7:30 pm

Coming from downtown Atlanta drive north on Roswell Road; 0.8 miles past I 285 turn left onto Johnson Ferry Road and drive 3.8 miles. Turn right onto Lower Roswell Road and drive 2.2 miles. Turn right just before the park sign.

Remember to bring three dollar parking fee, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual parking pass.
