Itinerary:

It's time again for the AOC Annual Picnic!

We have lots of activities planned, and we are still coming up with more great ideas. We have reserved a very large grassy area surrounded by 2
picnic shelters (same as last year)
 right on Lake Allatoona.

We'll have food, hot off the grill, prepared by our Head Chef Ryan Graham and Assistant Chefs Clay White, Bobby Marie, Tanja Bode, Mark Reffet, Courtney Harjung, Tom Harjung and Vaishali Kute

Please bring your own cup to drink from. This will help us to be green and cut down on paper goods

Tons of fun organized GAMES:
Tug-o'-War, Watermelon Eating Contest, Egg Toss for Distance, Scavenger Hunt
Sign up for specific games when you check in at the Picnic
Supervised by Games Master Charlie Cottingham

Enjoy these other "play-'em-yourself" games: Volleyball, Badminton, Frisbee, Horseshoes,  & Redneck Golf

Swimming

And other foolishness :-)

This will be a very fun packed day. Think of last year. Now think of something twice as fun!

Again, this year we'll need a bunch of volunteers to help out. Different jobs may be helping with setup, registration, cooking, games, cleanup, or other miscellaneous jobs. We also need one more boat owner to offer rides (we'll pay for gas). Volunteers get free admission . Expect to work a 2-3 hours of the event (or maybe making salads the night before). You can express your job preference, but be prepared to be assigned where we need you.  To Volunteer Please Contact:  exec@atlantaoutdoorclub.com
There is another incentive.

This is an ADULT ONLY activity just like all AOC events. Georgia state parks do not allow alcohol, and the AOC is not responsible for any alcohol you bring.

Sorry, no dogs allowed at this event.

Come have fun with us. This will be the best AOC picnic ever!

Required Items to Bring:

Your smile, a little competitiveness for the games, and a fun attitude.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Sunscreen, a bathing suit, and a camp chair

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Take I-75 North to exit 285 red Top Mtn Road. Take at right at the top of the ramp and go 1 mile to reach the park. You will cross over a bridge and take your first right into our area. if parking is full here go another 50 yards and park on the left in the overflow parking area.

All state parks have a $5 per vehicle charge for parking. With Red Top Mtn the actual place you pay is inside the park, NOT at the entrance. When you arrive please drive past the AOC area and the overflow parking on the left. take your next left, you will see the parking booth ahead. Pay for your vehicle and then come back and park. Because of this fee the AOC encourages everyone to find someone to carpool with.
