Itinerary:

Hi everybody! I haven't been back to Panther Creek for a long time and I need to get out there. The water might be pretty chilly, so swimming might be out, but it's still a very neat mid hike hang out spot. There aren't any stressful elevation changes but there are some scrambling spots that can be slippery, so please bring footwear that can handle light scrambling. We'll spend about an hour at the waterfall for some swimming (maybe) and lunch. We'll be taking the same trail back to the parking lot for an afternoon departure back to the carpool location.

There is a $3 parking fee per vehicle if you park at the trail head parking lot. There are a couple of free parking spots on the side of the road near the trail head, but I never count on those being available.

Note: Due to the light scrambling and wet conditions I'd prefer it if you have previous D3 experience. This is for your own safety. Thanks!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take I-985 North which turns into US 23. Stay on US 23 and 16 miles past Cornelia turn left onto Glen Hardman Road. After .1 miles turn right onto US 441 Historical. It is about 1 mile to the Panther Creek Recreation Area parking lot on your left.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $57.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
