Itinerary:
Vickery Creek is a beautiful section of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. We will hike around 4 miles of these trails at a moderate to fast pace including visiting the old dam on Big Creek. We will take the cliffs on the route back as long as there has been no rain Sunday/Monday. It can be a little bit technical and not super fun if you're scared of heights. Lauren is scared of heights but she thinks this section is cool - -  but you know she's not normal.   :o)

This is a more fast paced hike and not recommended for beginners - - but it's not as fast as a fitness hike.

All of the NCRA parks have a parking fee of $3 cash, unless you have a Chattahoochee NRA annual pass ($25).

Please call trip leader if you are running late. We won't wait, so you'll have to catch up with the group if you do arrive late.

water, gatorade or whatever you like to keep hydrated (important)

From Northbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 6 for Northridge Road
Stay RIGHT onto Northridge Road crossing bridge
Take first RIGHT onto Dunwoody Place, go 1.3 miles
Turn RIGHT at Ga. 9 (Roswell Road), go 0.6 miles
Cross river turn RIGHT onto Riverside Road, go less than 0.1 mile
Turn LEFT at park entrance


From Southbound U.S. 19/Ga. 400
Take exit 7 for Ga. 140 (Holcomb Bridge Road)
Turn RIGHT onto Ga. 140 East (Holcomb Bridge Road), go 0.2 mile
Turn LEFT at Dogwood Road, go 1.0 miles
Continue STRAIGHT on Riverside Road, go 1.0 mile
Turn RIGHT at park entrance
