Itinerary:

We've had a request to do Vickery Creek as a D2 after work hike. This will be a combination of wooded trails, gravel pathways and some concrete sidewalks. We'll do three or four miles and the plan is to show you the dam from both sides of the creek, the Roswell Mill bridge, the bridge at Oxbo Rd (near the small waterfall) and do a little bit of walking on unmarked trails around Oxbo Rd. Our pace will be moderate and we'll stop and gather up at intersections but try to stay close together. There really is no set route for this hike. It's looking to be about 3.5 or 4.5 miles done at a moderate pace and we'll slow on the inclines.

This is definitely a hike for beginners who are looking to get back in shape. There will be some moderate climbs but nothing too hard. We'll all get through it together. If you're looking for a fast paced fitness hike, this is not for you.

We are meeting at the trailhead behind the shops of Roswell Mill. It is where Hwy 9 (S. Atlanta St) and Hwy 120 (Marietta Hwy) intersect. There's a popular restaurant called Chaplin's in that shopping center. When you turn in to the shopping center (from either direction) you will be on Mill St. - Mill St dead ends in to Mill St. (thank you Roswell) and you take a right on to Mill St which will dead end in to the parking lot.
