Itinerary:

Join me for a hike at Island Ford section of the CRNRA, one of our most favorite areas along the Chattahoochee.  We will meet at the upper parking lot entrance to the park. It is the first lot on the left as you enter the unit.  There is a $3 parking fee if you do not have an annual pass ($25).

We will start by taking the trail down to the Visitor's Center and back.  Be aware that the bathrooms here will be closed by the time we start our hike. After returning to our original point of departure, we'll take the lollipop loop, adding another 2 3/4 miles.  Those who want to cut out early are welcome to leave for home when we get to the lot before adding on the extra mileage of the loop.

Our pace will be brisk, so please consider this before signing up.  It is not a beginner's hike, mainly due to the pace and some elevation changes, especially on the loop.
