Itinerary:

Looking for a trail run that is challenging and guaranteed to make you sweat?  If so, join us for this 10 mile trail run at Amicolala Falls!

For some runners, this 10 mile trail run will be a simple morning jog through the woods, maneuvering over tree roots, rocks, and dodging tree branches...and for others, a sweaty and intense meat grinder run!  The trail running speed will range from average to fast, with some hiking at times - you will sweat!

NOTE: Because of the intensity of this event, you should have prior trail running and/or recent distance running experience (8-12 miles minimum).  It's not intended for beginner runners/joggers or pure hikers.

We will plan to start the run from the top of the Amicolala Falls to the AT Intersection via the Len Foote Hike Inn Trail and back (Run will take about 2-2.5 hours at a moderate to fast running pace).  We will stop at the Len Foote Hike Inn for a few minutes to wipe the sweat off and refill our water bottle/hydration pack. We should be back in Atlanta late morning.

"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up.
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.
(But, unless you're a runner, you won't understand.)"
