This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Do you want to hike at a particular area in or around Atlanta? On a certain day? Mornings? Afternoons? You got it.

Here is how it works:

* Email your preferred date(s) ... at least two options ... and time(s) to Lemmy. AOC@gmail.com
* Chose a category D1, D2, or D3.
* Name your favorite area / destination (within max 1 hour travel time from Atlanta). If you have no preference, I will choose a destination.

That's all. You will be my "Guest of Honor" on this hike.

Come join me on the trails at the Davidson-Arabia NaturePreserve. We will meet at Arabia Mountain Nature Center. Like Stone Mountain, Arabia Mountain is a granite monadnock nearly 400 million years old. The area has unique plant life, wild life, spectacular geological formations, and interesting signs of human history.

From Atlanta or I-285 proceed eastbound on I-20 to exit #74 (Evans Mill Rd/Lithonia). Turn right off the ramp onto Evans Mill Rd. At the light continue straight onto Woodrow Drive. DO NOT TURN RIGHT! Travel on Woodrow Drive 1 mile to stop sign. Turn right onto Klondike Road and travel approximately 1 mile. You will cross Rockland Road. Continue 1 more mile to the Arabia Mountain Heritage Area NORTH parking lot on your Right. We'll gather at the front door of the Nature Center
