Itinerary:

It's going to be hot this weekend, so we are starting early to beat the heat.

Blankets Creek is Mountain Biking specific trail system located in Woodstock, GA with 5 cross-country singletrack trails and a downhill jump trail. The trails are: Mosquito Flats (Beginner), Mosquito Bite (Beginner plus), Dwelling Loop (Intermediate), South Loop (Advanced), Van Michael Trail (Advanced) and Quehl Holler (Downhill Jump).

Several of the trails (Mosquito Bite, Dwelling, South, and Van Michael) alternate direction daily.  By alternating the riding direction, same trail will have a different feel depending on the direction.  Quehl Holler is one-way, down, with a large "wall" at the end and jumps in the middle.  There are also several access trails also.

This will be an intermediate plus ride.  We will do 1 loop of each main trails, starting with Dwelling, South then VMT.   We will keep a moderate pace and have a few stops on South & VMT.

Mountain b
iking experience is required.  You should be able to ride Dwelling loop without stopping and have the skills to ride South & VMT.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance:   Please review the AOC cancellation policy.
*Note:

SORBA Woodstock may close the trails for rain or, in the wintertime, overnight freezing temperatures.  Before heading out the trail, please check the SORBA Woodstock website.  http://www.sorbawoodstock.org/  The trail status is on the main page.

In the event that trails are closed, the event will be cancelled.  I will try to notify everyone as early as possible but it's still a good idea to check the website.
