Itinerary:

How about doing five fun things on the 5th? We will Stand Up Paddle, Hike, eat lunch, play mini golf and end with a Zipline adventure all on the shores of Lake Lanier. If you don't want to do every activity, that's fine - - just hang out and wait on us until we are done. This will be a long, but really fun day. Notice: This is not an activity or "Adventure" for someone who is not used to continuous strenous activity or being outside all day. You will expend a lot of energy doing these activities. Sign up only if you are in proper shape to handle all of the activities. These are several D3 events lumped into one.

1. We will try Stand Up Paddling (SUP). We'll have an hour and a half to spend paddling on the water. There will be basic instruction and the board, paddle and life vest will be supplied.  We'll be out on the water right off of the beach area of the Islands and we have two coves to paddle in and around. The Outfitter will provide a suggested route or each person can go his/her own thing. We're starting this one early, before boat traffic picks up. Don't let SUP intimidate you - - it's a quick sport to pick up.  Since we're right by the beach, you can always swim, wade or just hang out if you don't like SUP (or if you've had enough).  In order to do Stand Up Paddling, you should be comfortable swimming in the lake and potentially ending up far from shore and/or out of short reach of immediate help. You will have a life vest provided by the Outfitter so wear it if you feel it is best for you.

2. After SUP we'll change and go on an awesome hike on the Blue Ridge Extreme Trail. There are restrooms where you can change clothes after our SUP. We'll do approximately 4.5 miles of the 6.3 mile trail. In my opinion, we're doing the nicest and most remote section of trail. There is not too much elevation change on the trail, and most of it is shady; there is usually a nice breeze coming off the water. There's a description of the trail and a trail map from the website below:

Blue Ridge Extreme

Hike along the edge of Blue Ridge Island on a trail forged by deer migrations and natural wildlife. This six mile pathway of rugged terrain winds in and out of secluded coves and peninsulas of the Resort's largest island.

3. After our paddle and hike, we'll be hungry, so we'll grab lunch at Sunset Cove. A link to their menu is below. There is a fee to enter the park ($10 at the gate). Pay the $10 at the gate and bring your receipt with you to the restaurant (Sunset Cove) will they deduct the $10 off of your lunch bill. Be aware: It's impossible to know in advance how busy the restaurant might be, and there is a good chance we'll have to break up into a few different groups/tables.

4. How about a quick game of mini golf while our lunch settles? We'll go play an 18 hole round of mini golf at Lakeside Links. You'll get bragging rights for a hole in one and/or the lowest score.

5. We'll finish off the day with two to two and a half hours of zip lining! We'll do the "Pine Isle Remix" which consists of 7 zip lines, including 3 or 4 1000ft lines and one 1500ft dual racing line! This is the best of the best of their zip lines. Check out their website (below) for answers to specific questions and some tips on zip lining. There is a 250lb weight limit and they are strict about it - no refunds if you get there and weigh in over 250lbs. Also, no refunds if you arrive there late and after the group has started. You will need to climb steep steps to get to some towers. Also, you'll be wearing a harness, so please be sure to wear long shorts or pants.  You can change after mini golf. Go easy on the adult beverages before zip lining.

There are restrooms all over the park and within a short distance of all of our activities (with the exception of some of the hike and probably the zip line). And I'm not sure how accessible they'll be from the zip lines. But we'll have time for them in between each activity.

Don't expect a reminder email about payment being due. See Cancellation Policy below for more details.
