NOTE: My hikes are more leisurely....with plenty of breaks for water and snacks....if you are fast hiker and wants to hike fast, or power hiker, this may not be the hike for you.

Its called Georgias Little Grand Canyon, located 40 miles South of Columbus, GA. This is a very unique place, when we walk around the bottom the canyon, it doesnt feel like we are in Georgia anymore... By far this is one of my favorite Georgia State Park to visit. Well spend some time venturing inside the canyon, and then we hike in the river (2-4 inches deep) for about a mile, then we are in the back country, enjoying the nature and occasional Armadillo thats digging for food, soon well arrive at the Stop Sign, this is our lunch spot, then after lunch well head down into the canyon, where I encountered Deer, Armadillo, and wild pigs... The view is spectacular Im sure youll be shooting many pictures... If you enjoy nature photography youll enjoy this hike.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Plenty of water (2 litters minimum). Good Water proof Hiking shoes for hiking in the river. Trekking pole, and RAIN GEAR you might not need one, but when the rain comes youll be so glad you have one. Backpack would be better than a small fanny pack. Try to dress in layers, last year around this time it was in the mid 70s. Please DO NOT forget your lunch and water. (you might get dirty due to the soil and sand mixture inside the canyon)
