Are you ready for a weekend adventure of White Water Rafting and Horse Back Riding? Then come join us for our Second Annual AOC Surf & Turf Weekend. Last year’s event was so much fun that we have decided to do it again this year. The good folks at Eagle Ranch will be our hosts and outfitter as we enjoy the weekend in the beautiful mountains of Copperhill, Tennessee. The fun begins as soon as you arrive on Friday, so be looking forward to sharing your evening with good company and good food while relaxing around a large outdoor fire circle. A night hike up to Ice Mountain, which is located on the property, is optional if some folks are up for it (1 mile hike). On Saturday, we’ll of course begin with breakfast and then at 11 am will meet back at the Pavilion for a short safety talk before we are shuttled off to “ride the rapids” down the world-famous Ocoee River, which offers continuous Class III-IV action. Once we arrive back at Eagle Ranch, you’ll have some down time in the late afternoon and some activities they have to offer include: volleyball, hiking trails, horse shoes, and road/mountain biking trails in the immediate area. Bring your own bikes if you want to ride. Eagle Ranch has a total of 120 acres to be explored. Sunday will bring a guided Trail Ride on Horseback in the Cohutta Wilderness offered by Adventure Trail Rides. Both Friday and Saturday nights we’ll have use of a large outdoor fire circle to relax and enjoy. We will also have use of the Pavilion area and this is where we will prepare all of our meals and eat together as a group (just like we do on AOC Camping Trips). Your meals will include: Friday dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast.

Please note: You will have a choice of either staying in the bunk houses or pitching a tent. The bunk houses and bath house building with hot showers are located approximately 300 feet from the tent camping and fire circle area. The tent camping area is very spacious and open. It’s great to have choices and last year it was a fairly equal number between the folks who stayed in the bunks and the folks who tent camped.

Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Sleeping bag (tent camping or staying in the bunks)
