Itinerary:

Other than a little exploratory hike, this is my first official AOC hike at Little Mulberry Park. Don't let the name mislead you - - it isn't little! It's expansive, the trails are well-maintained, and it's beautiful! I wish it were closer to my stomping grounds in East Cobb!

For those wanting to carpool, we'll leave Indian Trail Park and Ride at 1 o'clock, and arrive at the park for the hike at 1:45. Be on time! If you're not at the Park n' Ride by 1, you'll have to get to the park on your own. If you're not at Little Mulberry Park by 1:45, we'll start the hike without you!

We'll move at a fast/moderate pace, with stops along the way for water, a snack, and photos. We want to cover the entire trail system, which is over 9 miles, in about 3 hours.

Comfortable shoes, water, snacks, good attitude.

Turn left to merge onto I-85 North. Drive 4.8 miles
2. Take exit 106 to merge onto GA – 316/University Pkey toward Lawrencevill/Athens. Drive 10.5 miles
Turn left onto Fence Road. Drive 5.5 miles
Turn left to stay on Fence Road. Destination on left 404 feet

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $16.80 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
