Moderate – Strenuous 8.4 Mile Hike Join me in this second, and hopefully warmer adventure (done on a cold day in January earlier this year) to Georgia’s second highest peak and gorgeous 360 degree views of several states from the top offered from the tower at the top. The wildflower display should be nice along the trail on the way up as well. It is a good workout, as past the 7th of 15 water crossing bridges on the Bartram trail on the way in, it is constant and unrelenting upgrade which will cause the leader to pause for several breathing breaks, as the first time I did this. The strenuous climb is well rewarded with the view at the top; where we will have a nice long lunch and rest break. | |||||
