Island Ford has some great hiking trails and it's also the location of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area Park Headquarters and Visitor Contact Station. We will hike almost five miles of these trails at a moderate to fast pace including sections along the river as well as in the woods, starting with the newer trail.

We will hike silently the first 60 minutes of the hike. You are welcome to bring bear bells.

The meeting point will be the first parking lot. You can buy your yearly parking pass at the Visitors Center.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to keep up with the group and interact well with other dogs and people. Make sure you bring a leash and clean up after your dog.
