Do you want to hike at a particular area in or around Atlanta? On a certain day? Mornings? Afternoons? You got it.

Here is how it works:

* Email your preferred date(s) ... at least two options ... and time(s) to Lemmy.AOC@gmail. com
* Chose a category D1, D2, or D3.
* Name your favorite area / destination (within max 1 hour travel time from Atlanta). If you have no preference, I will choose a destination.

That's all. You will be my "Guest of Honor" on this hike.

Please join me on an other *Where And When Do You Wanne Hike?* (Yes, it's a D4 ... but not too difficult) from Anna Ruby Falls to Helen.

We will leave one or two cars in Helen (to bring the drivers back to Anna Ruby after the hike) and then drive with the other cars up to the Anna Ruby Falls Visitor Center, where we will start our hike. We will first walk 0.4 miles up to the falls on a paved trail, and then 4.6 miles on Smith's Creek Trail to Unicoi State Park.

This trail ascends a total of approximately 1000 ft and descends a total of approximately 1500 ft, in mountainous terrain.

We will stop for a picnic lunch at the lake and then walk the Unicoi to Helen trail. The trail goes down for another 3.5 or so miles, with some moderate climbs along the hike.

Some of us may go out to dinner after the hike, e.g. to the Old Heidelberg restaurant. If you do not wish to join us, please discuss this with your carpool ahead of time.

Sturdy hiking shoes with good traction

Clothing appropriate for the weather - including rain gear

Water or Energy Drinks - at least 2 liters

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $60.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
