Itinerary:

Our adventure will begin at the Lee Rd. park and ride where we will divide up among 2 to 3 vehicles and drive to Cheaha State Park. Once there we will leave one vehicle at Cheaha and shuttle everyone to Adams Gap.

Once on the trail we will proceed to Odum trai crossing the trails and on to Cheaha. The hike will be approximately 12.5 miles and over 1000 feet in altitude gain and loss. Much of this trail is very difficult where we will be crossing a few boulder fields and rugged rock formations. This hike is rewarded with great views, rugged terrain, and deep forest feel.

There is an unreliable water source, just past half way, but please bring your needed amount of water.

  • Hiking Poles!!!! (This trail can be quite slick when damp)

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $64.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

This trail is not for first time hikers, and you must be in good physical condition due to the aggressive nature of this trail!!! Please have boots that are well broken in!

I will reserve the right to remove anyone from this event if I have question about their ability. If your removal occurs, please do not take it personal. Removal from the event will be purely for safety for you and the group!
