Itinerary:

**This will be a special hike to honor Katie, one of our most beloved AOC members. Katie hiked countless miles on the trails with us over the years and will be missed by many. She has summitted many mountains and swam in many streams. In this photo, she has her paw on the marker for Big Bald in the Rich Mtn wilderness area.

I am pretty sure that Gold Branch earned its name from the way the sun shines through the trees on a late afternoon hike.  This pretty little park, part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, is a great place to hike at twilight.

We will cover approximately 4 - 5 miles, with one moderate hill climb in the first 10 minutes of the hike. From there we will follow the outer loop through the woods to the river and Bull Sluice Lake.  We will move as quickly as the group feels comfortable with.

We will meet in the parking lot, which is located off Lower Roswell Road. Please note that there are no restrooms at this location.
