Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

These are new trails at the very northwest corner of Cherokee County off GA Hwy 140. There are 10.5 miles of trail open with another 4.5 planned, to total 15.

We'll hike about 6 miles, give or take. I've never hiked these trails. It's an exploratory hike. There is a color coded map I will bring, along with a compass and my GPS. The plan is to travel the orange and yellow trails, and some of the green.

 

We will probably see horseback riders and will need to move to the side when they ride by. This is a beautiful area, right down the road from Pine Log Creek Trail.
