Itinerary:

Located in Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains, Black Rock Mountain State Park is Georgia's highest state park.  On clear days, hikers enjoy 80 mile vistas, including three states.  Our hike will include the sights and/or sounds of streams, creeks, numerous overlooks, and beautiful views of the Southern Appalachian mountains.

We will walk the following two trails:

1) James E. Edmond Backcountry Trail.  This is a moderate to strenuous 7.6 mile loop (including overlooks), which includes a walk beside the meandering Taylor Creek and a fabulous view of the Little Tennessee Valley from a rock outcropping on Lookoff Mountain.

2) Tennessee Rock Trail.  This is a 2.2 mile loop with some great views and an encounter with the eastern continental divide.

If the Ada-Hi trail has re-opened, we will consider this short (.5 miles) but steep walk to view the falls.
