Itinerary:

Come out and join us for a day of hiking and swimming in the beautiful Cohutta Wilderness......

There are many trails in the Cohuttas that lead into Jacks Falls, but Beech Bottom is the easiest way to get there. We'll enjoy a nice long lunch break and swim.

This easy to moderate trail is 4 miles oneway with another .6 miles to the falls.

Total hiking distance is 9.2 miles

It's summer, so bees/wasps are still out and active.  If you are allerigic, please be prepared by carrying your own epi-pen or antihistamine.

We need to know if you are planning to bring your dog.  We are limiting the number to 2 dogs per this group.  They must be well behaved, social with other dogs and people, and leashed at all times. They are the owners responsibility, so make sure you bring fresh water for them to drink while on the trail.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Lunch
  • Trail Snacks
  • 2 Liters of Water or sports drink

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray
  • Hat for a sunny day
  • Bathing suit and towel
  • River shoes/Tevas for playing at the falls
  • Rain gear/poncho (you never know if it might rain)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:
