DeKalb County Government, the Biking Community, and The Mall at Stonecrest will present the first annual Bike DeKalb event, October 19th, 2002. The event will kick off The Mall at Stonecrests one year anniversary and community day and include a ten mile fun ride, and a metric century (62 mile ride with shorter options within the county). The event will be centered in the main plaza within The Mall at Stonecrest and include non-profit vendors, tricycle races, music, and much more.
Proceeds will go to support implementation of Share the Road Street Signs, Education for Safer Biking, and future Bike DeKalb Events.
Join us on October 19th for either the ten mile Fun Ride from The Mall at Stonecrest to Davidson-Arabia Nature Preserve or the 62 mile, metric century, Tour DeKalb. The events will kick-off on The Plaza. All participants must register. Pre-register at http://www.bikedekalb.org/registration.html.

First 500 registered riders will receive a free sports water bottle. Both rides include reststops with sports drinks and snacks, Sag vehicles, marked routes, and maps and descriptions.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Lithonia, Georgia Meet our event leader, Robert Gilliam, at the registration tables From I-285 – take I-20 East to Exit 74 Evans Mill Road, turn right to Mall Parkway, turn left to The Mall at Stonecrest.
From points North, South and West – take I-85/75 connector to I-20 East to Turner Hill Road, turn right to The Mall at Stonecrest.
From Gwinnett – take 124 South to The Mall at Stonecrest.
From points East, Covington, Social Circle, Madison, Oconee, Augusta – take I-20 to Exit 78 Sigman Road, turn left to Mall Parkway, turn right to The Mall at Stonecrest.
From Henry Co. – take 138 North to 212 to Klondike Road, turn right to the The Mall at Stonecrest.
From Athens – take 138 South to I-20 West, Exit 78 Sigman Road, turn left to The Mall at Stonecrest.

All bike events, including Fun Ride, require a signed waiver. We suggest you register early either on-line or with a mailed in application, as they expect to fill out their spaces for this event early! There will be no refunds due to weather or other reasons.
