Come out and join us for a great hike in some wonderfully sunny and mild November weather!

We will begin the hike at the trailhead above the falls, and will hike approximately 5 miles to the Len Foote Hike Inn.  We will stop at the Hike Inn to eat lunch, relax, and enjoy the views. Hopefully there will still be some nice fall foliage on the trees, but we should have great views with the clear skies that are predicted.  We will return by completing the loop on whichever trail we did not take on the way there.

The hike is approximately 10 miles round trip and we will maintain a pace on the quicker side of moderate.  There is about 2,200 - 2,400 feet of ascent on this hike, so you should have previous D4 hiking experience prior to registering.

Please bring lunch to eat while we're at the Hike Inn. The Inn will sometimes have some bread, cookies or fruit that you can take in exchange for a donation but they are not always available, so don't rely on that.  They will have iced tea, lemonade and other drinks, but be sure to leave a donation if you partake.

From the Park & Ride we will go north on Georgia 400 past the outlet Mall to GA 136. Left on 136 till GA 52. Right until the park entrance. Instead of parking in the Visitors Center lot, take a left before the lot and head up the hill to the parking lot for the Len Foote Inn Trailhead.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $41.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.


There is a $5 State Park Fee unless you have an annual park pass.  Please split the cost between all persons in the vehicle.
