Itinerary:

Come join me for an afterwork/night hike at Olde Rope Mill Park in Woodstock.

We'll be hiking on the Taylor Randal Memorial Bike Trails, which hiking is permitted.

The trails are directional by day of the week and we'll be hiking all 3 loops.

Bikes have right of way at all times, so if we see any bikers, then we'll need to quickly move off trail to allow them to pass. I doubt we'll see many, but we should be aware.

Be sure to bring your headlamp or a flashlight because this is a night hike. :)

Plan to keep a moderate pace of 3 mph.

Total hiking is approximately 6.25 miles.


Required Items to Bring:
  • 1 to 2 L. of water
  • Good hiking shoes/boots
  • Headlamp/flashlight

Directions to Olde Rope Mill Park:

From I-575 Traveling North
Take Exit 8 (Towne Lake Parkway Exit)
Turn right off Interstate onto Towne Lake Parkway
At first light make a left onto Woodstock Parkway
Go through next light at Ridgewalk Parkway onto Old Rope Mill Road
This road dead ends into the park.

From I-575 Traveling South
Take Exit 8 (Towne Lake Parkway Exit)
Turn left onto Towne Lake Parkway
At second light - make a left onto Woodstock Parkway
Go through next light at Ridgewalk Parkway onto Old Rope Mill Road
This road dead ends into the park.
