This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Get fit for the festive season and joins us for a fun trip up Yonah, down Yonah, up Pink Mtn, down Pink Mtn and then back up Yonah for a second time plus an optional sunset if time, the group and weather permit.

This trip will involve some STEEP sections including BUSH WACKING, a bit of BOULDER CLIMBING and approximately 3000 feet of ascent making it an excellent D5 workout. The hike should be about 9.5 – 10 miles in length.

Our route will follow the main trail up the mountain, after reaching the summit we will take in the great views before descending back down the main trail until we join the trail up Pink Mountain. After climbing to the top of Pink Mountain we will take a short break for lunch before descending part of the way back down where we will go off trail and bushwack back to the top of Yonah approaching the summit from the South/South-West.

This is a tough hike with some steep sections including some off-trail bush wacking.  If you haven't completed some recent D5/D6 events I will be contacting you to see if this hike is suitable for you.
