Itinerary:

This is a trail running event on hilly terrain.  To mix this one up, we will run in the counterclockwise direction so that it's opposite of Friday's run.  We will walk a little bit around the dangerous bluffs portion (be very careful on this section.  Hold your arms out just in case you slip, and yes, I have slipped here before) or if we tucker out on some of the uphills, but mostly this is a trail running event.  The pace is defined as moderate on this one, but this is a running pace.  We're covering ~5 miles in 1 hour and 15 minutes.  There are places where we might open it up some and go wide open.  We do take an official break at the falls, but generally it's only about a 1 minute break.  Don't want to get all cooled down or anything you know.  This trail run kind of gets harder the farther we go, so be aware of that and pace yourself for it.

We will meet at the trail head parking area off of Dobbs Drive which is off of Oxbo Road.  Turn onto Dobbs Drive off of Oxbo, then go up the hill.  Soon you will come to a parking area on the right that has a few spaces for day users of the trail.  See the red circle (well it's kind of a circle anyway.  Looks more like a house) in the map shown. Look for the brown signs that say something about Parking for the Pedestrian Bridge.

We will start at event start time on the nose or earlier if everyone gets there early.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Darkness will come fast, so a headlamp might be a good optional thing to bring if you want just for safety sakes.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

We well meet at the trail head parking area off of Dobbs Drive which is off of Oxbo Road. Turn onto Dobbs Drive off of Oxbo, then go up the hill. Soon you will come to a parking area on the right that has a few spaces for day users of the trail.

From GA 400: Get off at Holcomb Bridge Road GA 140 and head west towards Roswell.  Take a left at the first redlight which is Dogwood Road (there is a Krystal there).  Take a right at the first redlight which is Grimes Bridge Road.  After crossing the bridge over Big Creek (aka Vickery Creek here) take a left at the redlight which is Oxbo Road.  Take a right onto Dobbs Drive, head up the hill and look for the Pedestrian Bridge Parking sign on the right near the top of the hill.  Turn right and park there.

From GA 9: Heading north in GA 9 (aka South Atlanta Street), pass GA 120 (aka Marietta Highway) then watch for Oxbo Road on the right at a Chevron station.  Take a left onto Dobbs Drive, head up the hill and look for the Pedestrian Bridge Parking sign on the right near the top of the hill.  Turn right and park there.
