Itinerary:

IN a NUTSHELL: Members of the Atlanta Outdoor Club have been invited to enjoy this special free 90-minute evening program presented by one of Georgia's most beloved naturalists, Charles Seabrook.  For a cash fee of $7 at the door a nice pre-talk dinner is also available - see details below about how to reserve your dinner.

WHEN & WHERE?  The free talk will take place on Monday Jan 14 from 6:45 - 8:15 PM in the social hall of Oak Grove Methodist Church.  (The social hall - a.k.a. "Fellowship Hall" - adjoins the large parking lot behind the main sanctuary.  See detailed directions below.)

PUBLICIZED TALK SUMMARY:   From the mountains to the sea, Georgia is one of the most biologically diverse states in the nation. The award winning nature writer, Charles Seabrook, known for his weekly AJC column, "Wild Georgia,” will talk about this great diversity and what makes Georgia such a perfect place for lovers of nature. "Charlie" spent his boyhood on Johns Island near Charleston.  His most recently published book is about the ecology and natural history of coastal beaches and saltmarshes.

OPTIONAL 6:15 DINNER in same SOCIAL HALL (for $7 cash fee):  Just prior to each of their monthly gatherings the men of Oak Grove Methodist Church prepare and serve a delicious dinner (Entree + 2 sides, dessert, drink, etc.).  If you'd like to arrive by about 6:15 and have dinner ($7 cash payment at the door) you can reserve your spot by filling out the following linked online form by 10:00 AM on Mon Jan 14th (or call the church office by that same 10AM Mon deadline at 404-636-7558).  http://ogumc.org/reservations/umm-monthly-meeting
