Itinerary:

Join me on a dayhike in AL for some great views and fun times.

I've been wanting to explore more of the Alabama trail systems and this is one of the nice gems that was discovered.  Using the Pinhoti Trail and the Cave Creek Trail, we will make a nice 11ish mile loop (according to internet, I haven't actually calculated it myself).

We will be taking the Pinhoti trail at the Cheaha Trailhead and passing by some wonderful vista's along the way.  On the way to lunch, we will pass an old plane crash site.  At this point, if there any engineers in the group or MacGyver fans with a paper clips and rubberbands, we will let them patch the plane up and fly a small group out...

Once we get to McDill's overlook we will take a lunch break before heading further along the trail to meet up with the Cave Creek trail.  At that point, we will head back north along the Cave Creek trail until we reach our cars.

The Pace will be moderate to fast, but with time to take some pictures along the way.
