Itinerary:

Let's celebrate MLK Day with a nice hike. We'll take a slow to moderate pace so we can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. The main trail is flat dirt; the side trails will have uneven terrain in some places, and possibly be muddy in other places. So you don't want to wear shoes that you don't want to get dirty. The creeks and river should be flowing nicely.

Afterwards, anyone who'd like to join can follow to a local restaurant for lunch.

Beginners welcome!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Take I-75 North to I-575 North
From 575 N, take exit 16 and merge GA-140 W/GA-20 W towards GA-5 North
You are going to come to a stoplight. (Williams Bros Barbeque is to the right of the light.) This is GA-5 (Hwy 5), take a right on GA-5 N

Travel less than 1/2 mile, cross over the Etowah River bridge and take the next left into BOLING PARK. (Big sign at the entrance.)
If you pass Cherokee High School you've gone a little too far.

Once you've turned into the park, continue all the way to the back of the park, past the huge speed bumps, past the soccer fields and the water treatment plant. We will meet in front of the pavillion at the very back of the park which will be on your right once your back there.

No parking fee.
Restrooms and/or portapotty available.
