Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Table Rock State Park is located in northern South Carolina at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. One of the most popular parks in the state, it was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930’s. We will hike trails in the park past mountain streams and waterfalls and to the tops of Pinnacle and Table Rock mountains.

We will begin our hike at the park’s Nature Center (1160 ft.) and go via the Pinnacle Mountain Trail to the top of Pinnacle Mountain (3425 ft.) while stopping at Mill Creek Falls and the Bald Rock Overlook along the way. From there we will hike down to Panther Gap and then up to the top of Table Rock Mountain (3124 ft.) passing Governor’s Rock. Finally, we will return via the Table Rock Trail to our cars.

This is NOT a beginners hike, so please be sure you are in good physical condition. However, we will not be hiking at a fast or fitness hike pace.
