Itinerary:
It's too hot for hiking, so let's play in the water! One of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U.S., Tallulah Gorge is two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. From the visitor's center, we will take Sliding Rock Trail to the Gorge Floor and Bridal Veil Falls. This is the difficult part of the trip. The trail is only about a quarter mile in distance, but is a 45-degree angle and is all rocks and boulders. Good shoes are required - no flip flops! Tevas or Chacos should be ok. Once we are in the gorge, we will spend the day swimming and playing in the river. Bridal Veil Falls forms a natural water slide that provides hours of entertainment. When everyone is tired, we will head back home. Only 100 hikers are allowed each day into the gorge so that is why the early start.

Required Items to Bring:
Good shoes for hiking/climbing, river shoes to change into, bathing suit, towel, water or gatorade.
