Geocaching 101

Have you ever wanted to try Geocaching? Well this is your opportunity come and join me as we all learn I have only been doing this hobby for about 1 year it is a lot of fun but also very fusterating when you look for a cache for 2 hours and when you are ready to give up you spot something that is out of place. So whether you are and experenced cacher or wanting to learn to see if you like doing this now is the time to give it a try. No GPS required (Leader will have a GPS.) We will attempt to find several caches in Roswell City Park.or you can leave at any time if this is not for you. But I hope if you sign up you will stay for the entire event. So put on your pack and join us for the day.

Take 400 North to Exit 7A Holcomb Bridge turn right take first staeet to your right (Market Street) and at the stop sign go right and follow to Old Alabama turn right to river We will meet at Dan White Park.. I drive a black Toyota pickup truck

If you have GPS bring it if you have a Garmin I will be able to transfer data from mine.

For everyone that has a smartphone you can download an app for Geocaching. You can also go to their web page and signup for free their address is www.geocaching.com check it out. there is loads of information on the site. As I stated earlier I will have a GPS. Most cachers will tell you we look like a bunch of fools walking around in circles sometimes looking for a cache. But it is fun when you find the cach you forget about looking like a fool who cares anyway you are having fun.
