Itinerary:

Since it's 2/16, let's see if we can hike from Track Rock Gap to the top of Brasstown Bald in 2 hours and 16 minutes. Who's up for the challenge??

THIS WILL BE A FAST HIKE!!

We are getting a late start in the morning, because we should be well rested for this challenge. Haha. The plan is to go straight through from Track Rock Gap on the Arkaquah Trail to the parking lot of Brasstown Bald and then all the way to the top. There will be no breaks along the way since we are racing the clock! When we get to the top of Brasstown Bald, we will stop for a snack. About 20-30 minutes. This will allow for everyone to make it to the top, catch their breath and grab a snack. Then back to the cars in 2 hours and 16 minutes.

If you cannot do this distance (6 miles with 3100+ feet of elevation gain) within 2.5 hours, this might not be the hike for you. We are fighting daylight, so it's important to keep this pace.
