***** PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN CARPOOL LOCATION *****

Are you interested in Backpacking and want to start small? Then why not join me for a beginner backpacking trip on a beautiful portion of the Bartram Trail. We'll be hiking in approximately 2 miles to camp and along the way we'll pass two beautiful waterfalls. Becky Branch Falls, a 20-foot fall, is easily observed from a wooden bridge that crosses the stream and Martin Creek Falls is a series of falls with the largest dropping 30 feet. We'll be setting up camp near Martin Creek falls and should be able to play in the rocky area near the falls if there is enough water and weather permitting of course.

For those interested in an extra hike, after we setup camp we can hike further up the Bartram Trail to a spur trail that goes to Pinnacle Knob, which over looks the city of Clayton. This is a moderately-difficult, but optional hike

If you plan to bring your dog(s), please make note when you register for this event. I will be bringing my Boston and my Beagle this time around.
