Itinerary:

Listed among the Top 10 Whitewater Rivers in the U.S., Section IV of the Chattooga (just outside Clayton, GA) comes in at #8 according to Yahoo Sports.  Flowing southwest, the Chat forms the natural border between South Carolina and Georgia.  It was the first river to be designated "Wild & Scenic" by Congress.

The Chattooga offers no fewer than 10 Class III-IV rapids and 7 Class IV-V rapids (range depends on water level) with five Monster Class IV-V's clustered in a famous ½-mile stretch near the end of the run known as Five Falls.  Previous rafting experience is recommended or a reputation for fearless abandon (indicate which you have when you sign up please).

The trip price of $92.69 includes 5 hours on the river with lunch provided, guides, gear, wetsuits, river fees and tax.  If you're thinking that's more than double what it costs for the Ocoee, the Ocoee is 2 hours on the river, no lunch, no wetsuit, and only 2 Class IV rapids.  More info can be found at http://www.noc.com/whitewater-rafting/chattooga-river/section-iv-info/

The Chattooga is also famous as the location for several scenes from the 1972 movie Deliverance, starring Burt Reynolds, Jon Voight, Ned Beatty and Ronnie Cox.  It was nominated for 3 Oscars and 5 Golden Globes and gave fame to two well-known lines -
Can you squeal like a pig?
Paddle faster, I hear banjo music!
Deliverance also gave us the tune, Dueling Banjos.  If you can rent the movie and watch it before you come it'll be worth your while.  Your guides will be happy to point out the individual scene locations as we pass through them on the river.

Dinner in Clayton for survivors after the float.
