Itinerary:

This hike is a chance to get out into the woods for a leisurely stroll along the river. We will pause for several mini breaks along the way.  There will be a few hills, but nothing too strenuous.  This hike is intended for those who haven't hiked in a while due to illness or injury and is great for beginners.

Friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome.

We will meet at the main parking lot in front of the Park Headquarters and Visitor Station. If you do not have an annual CRNRA parking pass, you will need to purchase the $3 daily parking pass at the pay station in the parking lot. You may also purchase an annual pass at the Park Headquarters.  Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to take care of this. The Island Ford Visitor Station at Island Ford is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
