Itinerary:

Let's check out the new Beltline Eastside trail!  As you probably have heard it is the first part of the Atlanta Beltline that has recently been completed.  It's a new recreational trail that stretches from 10th street at Piedmont Park down to Irwin Street in Inman Park.

After introductions we'll saddle up and take the Freedom Parkway trail to another trail that connects to the Eastside trail.  We'll then turn north and take the Eastside trail all the way to 10th street.  Next we turn around and go back south until we reach the other end of the trail at Irwin street.  After that we backtrack to the Carter Center.  The connector trail is a short but steep climb.  Otherwise there are no hills.  The total distance is about 5 miles.  The trail is usually very crowded so we'll have a slow pace.  That will help us see the sights anyway.

IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU are responsible for your bike maintenance or repairs on the trail. I'm happy to assist, but I simply cannot carry equipment for any possible repair on any possible bike. I highly recommend you have your bike tuned up before the ride.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Take I-75/85 to the Freedom Parkway exit. Continue on Freedom Parkway about 1.8 miles and fork right after the concrete canopy following the signs to The Carter Center. The entrance is on your left off Copenhill Avenue.  There are no real landmarks within the parking lot so look for my blue and white bike (I'm not planning on driving there).
