Itinerary:

Do you suffer from having to be inside at the start of the work week after spending your weekend off galavanting through the wilderness?  Does driving that desk again leave you insane thinking about how you could be outside getting a great workout instead?  Then join me for an after work Fitness Hike at Olde Rope Mill Park. (Even though the promo picture is of the Thompson Loop in the Tsali Recreation Area.)

The Taylor Randahl Memorial Mountain Bike Trails allow hiking so we'll be taking them up on the offer.  These trails are directional and change daily.  Bikes have the right-of-way at all times, so we will need to be prepared to step aside when we see one approaching to let it and its rider pass.

We will start hiking at 6:30pm sharp and will not wait, so please arrive early.

Assuming it stays on its schedule, the sun will be setting at 8:04pm.  We'll be cutting it close so it wouldn't hurt to bring a headlamp or flashlight just in case.

This has become a fast paced group.  While we like to stay together, we are there first and foremost for the workout.  Paces tend to range between 3.5 and 4 miles an hour, and sometimes exceed the 4 mile per hour mark.  If you feel that you cannot maintain that pace, this may not be the hike for you.  Your TL may contact you if there is a concern about your ability to keep pace.

Total hiking distance is approximately 6.25 miles.

We'll be hiking Loop 1, 2 and 3 of the Avalanche Trail
