Itinerary:

Island Ford is the location of the Park Headquarters and Visitor Contact Station.  We will meet at the Visitors Center to begin our hike.

While most of this trail is relatively flat there is some elevation gain but not too challenging for a D-3.  We will hike at a brisk pace and stop a few times to take pictures.   Part of our hike will be along the river and we might catch a glimpse of a deer in this section of the park.

While we should be finished prior to sunset you might want to bring a headlamp or flashlight to use around dusk.

Remember there is a $3 parking fee or $25 to purchase an annual park pass.
