Itinerary:

Welcome to one of our *You Can Do It* series of hikes!  These hikes are designed especially for folks who are new to hiking OR to the hike location.  They'll go no faster than a moderate pace and we will pause to take pictures when the opportunity arises.  This is an awesome hike if you are just getting into hiking or are new to the AOC.

Cochran Mill Trails and Nature Center

This time we’ll bring our rain gear and have fun hiking the trails of Cochran Mill - then visit the Nature Center to enjoy the wonderful live animal exhibits they have there.  After meeting promptly at 9:00 AM in the parking lot at the Cochran Mill Nature Center, we’ll have a fun hike on the trails alongside Bear Creek and Little Bear Creek - these trails include some nice waterfalls, a few man-made dams, and lovely woods.  With the high chance for rain this could be very awesome!

Required Items to Bring:

Appropriate clothing for rainy weather!!!

Appropriate walking/hiking shoes.

Plenty of fluid for adequate hydration

The Cochran Mill Nature Center only costs $3.00 to park and includes all the live animal exhibits and is well worth the small amount.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

A change of shoes for after the hike :-)
