This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

TIME CHANGE!!!

We'll start at the Vistor's Center, go up and over (and up and over) Kennesaw Mountains and keep going...and going...and going...all the way to Kolb's Farm.

After a short break to stretch and refuel, we'll head all the way back to the Vistor's Center.

Simple.

Because this is a well-populated park, we don't need to stay as a group the whole way. If you find yourself motivated and hiking faster and want to just head out, you can do that. If you are feeling sluggish, or want to stop and read all the signs, you can take your time.  If you want to do two loops around the park, you can do that too. However, I will not be joining you on that adventure!

The total hike is 16 - 17 miles.

Required Items to Bring:

Enough water for a long hike (2+ liters)

trail snacks

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

rain gear if it looks iffy (and since it's my hike, there's a strong chance of iffy weather)
