Itinerary:

This is another in the series of No Excuses hikes.  They're offered so that ANYONE who has mobility can handle them.  AOC newcomers are welcome;  beginning hikers are welcome;  vets wanting a photo hike are welcome.  The route we'll take will remain largely along the scenic Chattahoochee River, without much elevation change,  the pace will be very moderate, and the distance will be just a few miles.  This may well be the chance you've been waiting for to join a group of friendly folks as we enjoy nature and the chance to get a little exercise. You have NO EXCUSE for not signing up if you have the time!

We'll start at the Visitor's Center, where restrooms are available, and folks can buy an annual pass to the CNRAreas ($25).  The Visitor's Center is way down the road after you pass through the entrance - - about 1/2 mile drive.  Just keep going on the main road until it dead ends in the parking lot. It's farther than you think it should be, so just keep driving.

If you bring your dog, it should be able to  interact well with other dogs and people. The Chattahoochee NRA requires that owners keep their dogs on a leash and clean up after their pets on the trails.

Please be reminded that this area requires a $3 (cash) parking pass if you don't already own an annual pass.  We will start the hike promptly at 2 o'clock pm! Arrive 10 minutes early to purchase a pass, to use the restroom, and to check in.

Required Items to Bring:

$3.00 or your annual pass
